Cal Newport is an MIT-trained computer science professor at Georgetown University, and a bestselling author who writes about the intersections of technology, work, and the quest to find depth in an increasingly distracted world.

He has published several New York Times Best Sellers, including his 2019 book “Digital Minimalism” and his 2016 book “Deep Work”. His 2016 TED Talk “Why you should quit social media” has been viewed over 10 million times.
